St. Xavier will be without starting quarterback Keegan Sullivan tonight at DeSales.
Sullivan suffered a broken thumb on his left (non-throwing) hand during last Friday’s scrimmage vs. Simon Kenton.
Bad news breaking out of St. Xavier here in Louisville, Kentucky. Senior QB Keegan Sullivan has a cast on his left thumb. He is expected to miss at least four weeks per head coach Kevin Wallace.

According to the Courier-Journal:
“The weirdest part is that we don’t know,” Wallace said when asked how the injury occurred. “He thinks he might have hit it on somebody’s helmet after he threw a ball.”
Wallace said the original prognosis was that surgery would be required and Sullivan would miss the entire season. But he said doctors and Sullivan’s parents are considering another plan that could have Sullivan back for the Tigers’ home opener Aug. 31 against Bowling Green.
St. X has its open date Aug. 24.
Junior Douglas Bodhaine will start in Sullivan’s place.
